Founder: J.R. Hughto

J.R. Hughto is a filmmaker, educator and workflow designer whose work has been seen by audiences worldwide. As a workflow consultant, Hughto has designed and executed production and post strategies for projects with budgets under $25,000 to more than $150 million. Hughto has also produced and consulted on a number of independent films that have screened at festivals around the world including those at Sundance, Venice, Toronto and Los Angeles.

Diamond on Vinyl, written, directed and produced by Hughto, premiered at the 2013 Slamdance Film Festival, and was awarded Best Director and Best Ensemble at the 2013 Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles, as well as Best Dramatic Feature at the 2013 Atlanta Underground Film Festival. Following its December 2013 release in the United States, Diamond on Vinyl was selected for several "Best of 2013" lists, including Hammer to Nail, Fandor and Twitch Film, and is currently distributed in nearly 70 countries worldwide on the Sundance Channel.

Hughto has taught extensively at both the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television and the California Institute of the Arts' Film Directing Program. He is currently Director of Production at Trailer Park, Inc., the recipient of the 2015 Clio Key Art Awards' Agency of the Year.
